Method / A six-step loop

Understand first.
Build what helps.

A clear sequence from a short call or message and fixed written quote to a tested build, your approval and handover.

01

Observe

Understand what actually happens. Follow the task, notice the handoffs and learn where exceptions appear.

What is the real sequence?

02

Reduce

Remove steps that do not help before automating the rest. Clarify ownership and eliminate avoidable repetition.

What can disappear?

03

Design

Choose a focused system around the problem, including edge cases and decisions that need a person.

What does better mean?

04

Build

Make the agreed workflow with tools that fit. Keep the system understandable and its important controls visible.

What is the lightest fit?

05

Verify

Check the normal path and exceptions. Compare against the agreed baseline, including review time and anything that became harder.

What changed in practice?

06

Improve

Keep what works, adjust what does not and make ownership clear at handover. Agree what should happen next.

What should happen next?

From enquiry to handover

Clear terms
before the build.

  1. Start with a short call or message about the current task.
  2. Receive a fixed quote with scope, access needs and timing in writing.
  3. Accept the quote. Nothing is due up front.
  4. I build and test the agreed behaviour, including likely exceptions.
  5. You review and approve the result. I invoice in full on approval, due within 3 days.
  6. I provide the handover and a fixed bug-fix period. There are no monthly plans.

Services start at £250. Software costs are separate. See the full project FAQ
